Fun Times with cousin/Godfather, Chris!

We started the week by going to the pool with Georgia and her mommy. Wow-Georgia is a little daredevil. She is going under and popping back up on her own without her mommy's help! I was too mesmerized to take pictures (gasp).
Tuesday was Henry's first day at his day-care. It's an in-home day care located a couple miles from our house right on the way to my school. Karen was a former teacher and two teachers who I work with take their kids to her. It's an ideal situation for Henry (not so much for me...). So I thought that I should take him a couple half days a week until I start back to work. He went for a few hours then I picked him up. I'm really not worried about Henry. I think he's used to be passed from one person to the next at church so he's okay with anyone and loves other children. Tuesday afternoon Henry, Chris and I caught the water taxi to National Harbor. Henry loved the boat ride. Can't wait to take him on Annie's boat in FLA! National Harbor was fantastic and we spent some time at the pool there.

The Awakening Statue at National Harbor. Of course I get Mother-of-the-year Award when I ask Chris to put Henry on the statue. Think-metal statue, blazing hot July sun. ouch. Good one, Stacy!

Here's Christopher teaching Henry some important skills:

kick, kick, kick... text, text, text...

Zonked (with peas still on my face)!
Wednesday we went to the zoo. Henry loved looking at the meercats through the plexi-glass. So fun to watch! Wednesday night we went to watch the Nationals lose to the Phillie's (again) with Pam and Chris.

Go Nats!

Zonked!

Wow, we're runnin' this poor kid ragged! He is so good-natured and always laughing or smiling. The only exception is when he is riding in the car and is tired. This happened on the way home from the zoo, so Chris got to hear Henry's rendition of The Call of the Wild! I think Chris' ears are still ringing. Welcome to the club buddy!
I feel like I want to get in as much fun as I can before the school year starts and I don't get as much time with Henry. I am really not looking forward to that (can you tell) and I think it will be pretty difficult for me. I just love LOVE spending time with my cool little guy!
