Lazy Weekend

We started Tuesday with our weekly play group. This is a group that my friend, Megan and I created for working moms. We meet every Tuesday afternoon and our kids play then we have dinner. Being the civilized women that we are, we have decided to incorporate a little wine appreciation into this group. So far the group consists of just Megan, her son Joaquin and new baby; Alejo, Henry and I, but we are certain that it will catch on. However, I'm not so sure that we want it to. We are very particular about membership. Plus, we may have to share the wine.

So, for now, here are the two boys enjoying each other's company. The toy in Henry's hand actually belongs to Joaquin. My goal is that Joaquin's sharing skills rub off on Henry.

These were taken after we played at the park had dinner and a bath. We weren't actually planning to wash hairs but guess what Henry learned to work in the tub? Unfortunately Joaco was standing right under it. Good thing he is a totally laid back kid. Henry, on the other hand, had difficulties sharing his bathtub time.

Here's what we did this weekend. Not much of anything---glorious! The weather was stormy and rainy on Sunday so we stayed inside all day.

We have also discovered that our child has developed eczema-big time! He is an itchy scratchy mess. Particularly if he's hot. So, to help his little bod to stay cool he has become a near nudie-sleeper! This makes for much more restful sleeping-for all of us! In addition, his head gets so hot and itchy with all that mass of hair. Time for another hair cut, but until then-up with the hair!

Tee-hee. Okay, I was a little bored!

Rainy day. Stuck inside.
What better time to bring out Aunt Ruth's Radio Flyer tricycle that she got for Henry?
The best part for me was watching Henry and daddy put it together!

"No, daddy, it says tab A fits into slot F!""Easy with those tools, daddy" "What's this thing for, Henry?"

"It goes here daddy, duh."
I think Henry lost interest (patience) and decided to sit and read.

SUCCESS!
Henry just jumped right on and began to ride this thing!
After watching Henry roll toward the stairs, Billy decided to take them to the garage to play. Henry not happy.

Back in the saddle...Henry-style!

And here are some videos of the non-stop action/antics of my boys!

In this clip I was saying a double thank you to Ruth for the tricycle and to Nonnie for the books-but I got cut off!
Easy-Rider, here we come!
