Weekend Whirlwind

We started the weekend by attending Willie and Claudia's Rehearsal Dinner. Here's Henry with his favorite soon-to-be SIL. Henry explained that since he's only 1, he's allowed to have two favorites. Jamie being his other favorite SIL!
Not sure why some of the pictures came out so small.

The dinner was in Annapolis. We got there early and snuck down to the beach for a "brisk"(brr) walk.

Here's Aunt Ruth feeding me my first taste of crab cakes. Verdict-"YUMMY"! "Hi Aunt Ruth, what's up? How 'bout passin' more crab cakes in this direction?"
Cousin, Jessica and Natalie-Jane

"Hi Sandi!"

Uncle Andrew!

Then, on to Saturday! We flew to Chicago for Logan's confirmation.

Flight # 6, here we go!
Once again, Henry was a dreamy travelling companion. So funny to see the expressions on the other traveller's faces when we sit down on the over-booked flight. I explain that he really only cries for about an hour then he usually calms down. Ha-we got the last laugh. Henry played with this box of his new favorite food for about an hour and a half!
Then just hung by my feet. Gross, I know. Bleach bath, here we come!

"Hi Aunt Pam!"

"Hi Aunt Lisa!"

Henry sharing his breakfast with Madeline.

Lisa, Murphy, Madeline and Logan
Went to the Rainforest Cafe-talk about stimulation overload-but so fun to watch Henry enjoy the scenery and say, "fishhh, fishhh, fishh"
Aunt Pam, being the good sport that she is, decided to order an adult fruity beverage so that Madeline and Logan could have the cool cups-of course she had to order two!
It might look like it but Henry didn't have any of Pam's beverage! He's just eating a chameleon....and trying on a sea urchin hat...what's wrong with that? Then we went scuba diving. And nothing says a trip to the mall like a ride on the merry-go-round!

The Confirmation took place on Sunday and lasted 2.5 hours! There were 800 candidates. Henry was excellent as long as he was able to take breaks in the lobby and pew-surf. Here, he's showing off his angelic choir voice.
What can I say? You try to entertain a 15 month old for over two hours in church!

Since Logan chose Patrick as his confirmation name, we made the obvious choice of having dinner at an Irish pub/restaurant!

Followed by ice cream!

Yummy!

On the way to the airport we stopped off at this cool park.

This thing is actually higher than you would think. Impressed?

Lisa and the kids dropped Nonnie, Henry and I off at the airport just in time for the ticket agent to share the news that the plane we were supposed to take was struck by lightening not once but three times. Somehow, the news of a five hour delay didn't actually sound so bad.

Here is the life-saving play area where we spent the majority of our wait.

Here is the super cute bathroom just off the playroom. I called it nirvana. Henry called it a water park!
Great place to kill time. We spent about 45 minutes in here. So fun-everything was just Henry's size. I'm sure a mom designed it-no soap dispensers within Henry's reach. Perfect! He could busy himself in the little sink and at the time I could care less if he soaked himself from head to toe, I just didn't have to worry about soap everywhere.

Once again Henry was perfection on the flight home. More playing on the floor and he also added to his tricks standing on my lap looking at the people behind me saying, "Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi! Hi!...you get the picture. Better than the alternative.
The minute we touched down-out!
