Anyhoo, on that note, here's the rest of our summer vacation.
After the beach, and exciting hospital visit, we drove to NC to visit Aunt Janie, Uncle Curt, Uncle Steve and Aunt Andrea.
The best part? Nonnie met us there!

Uncle Steve has a fantastic collection of animals. Llamas, horses, alpacas, ducks, turkeys...and ...CHICKENS!
This is Bambi. I want one...er...another one!
I think daddy like this guy too!
Janie and Curt took us to this cool park with an enormous steam engine on the grounds for kids to crawl all over. We were there for a while. At least until Henry cleared the cows from the track. I love his imagination these days!
Pretty cool.
Then we walked around to the duck pond and did our part to keep them plump!

To continue the nature theme, we went to a really neat restaurant where deer met us in the foyer. Okay, they weren't alive, but pretty cool.
Henry found it pretty difficult to warm up to Uncle Curt ;)

Ahhh, Aunt Yessie!
Nonnie, Nonnie, Nonnie!!! The entire weekend Henry kept saying, "Nonnie, I miss you" He was such a cuddle bug with her. This was completely unprompted, I SWEAR! Anyway, it worked! Shortly after that trip, Nonnie decided to retire and move from Florida to Virginia with us!!! I couldn't have planned it better! So, more on these details later and how Henry is already starting to say, "Well, when Nonnie is here, she will...let me....eat ice cream...stay up late...eat mud...go outside without a coat....
Here we go, let the training begin!
For now, I think I've lost my captive audience of one who reads this blog!
On the way back to Virginia we had to stop by Little Richard's for some BBQ. Of course it was 10am!
We dropped Janie and Curt's name and the ACTUAL Little Richard opened up for us!
