Everybody's Talking About Jesus Lately...

...and the three wise men..." that was heard by Nonnie today from the backseat of the car. Henry seems to have his most profound thoughts while he, as he puts it, is a back seat driver.

Another nugget:

"Mommy, did you know that God made animals?"

Mommy-"Yes, what else did He make?"

H-thoughtful pause..."boxes

On that note, the annual Santa fist bump. We're getting ready for Christmas here but to bring us up to date,

Nonnie's here! Not just here but HERE! After asking her for several years she finally came to her senses, rented her house in FLA and moved in with us.

After some logistics and trips to FLA, We got her here!!

But not before a trip to Disney World with cousin Alexander!

Here they are at the entrance planning their escape. First stop; Adventure land!

Piloting his own ship after Pirates of the Caribbean.

Let's go, Nonnie!

Haunted Mansion

Iiiiiiiiiit's a Small World after all...now is it stuck in your head?

Henry decided (mid-ride) that he wanted to sit with Nonnie! Alexander is scooping up water. Yep, we had complete control...

This picture will definitely reappear sometime in the distant future...rehearsal dinner...?

He may love his superheroes, but he certainly has a soft spot for mermaids.

Can't wait for Space Mountain!

All done, ready to cuddle up with Nonnie.

By this point I think Henry was just about done having his picture taken...or being near us?

This was at our super-cool hotel.

On the way home we got to visit Aunt Ruth in Beaufort to check out her new digs. After a day of driving she completely spoiled us with yummy food and wine!

Here's Nonnie getting acquainted with the rest of the Carter Family.

pure joy!

Before Thanksgiving, Henry's preschool had a concert. This was the only picture I got before the mayhem. Picture it-87 toddlers under the age of five, on one stage singing. I think they were singing. Henry was directly behind a little girl who decided that she needed to show everyone her Dora underwear...and her belly -button...the entire time. I just didn't feel right about taking pictures much less posting them on a blog.

Here, I think you can just see Henry peering over the shoulder of Little Miss Modest.

Here's a close-up of my little Chaske!

My ancestors would be so proud!

So what better activity is there than making pumpkin pie after a great Thanksgiving production?

...and sweet potatoes. Makes 'em, won't touch 'em!

...aaaand, JUST KIDDING! This is Marilyn. She's safe...for now.

Speaking of chickens and without going into too much detail, as the weather is turning cold, the foxes and (i particular) hawks are getting hungry and daring. Let's just say, we're down to 3 chickens. Billy and neighbor spent Thanksgiving building the fortress. Or what some neighbors lovingly refer to as the Big Top!

Thanksgiving brought neighbors and family together.

Here's Jaclyn, Ruth and Jessica helping to clean up!
