Seeing as I drafted this over a month ago, I can't actually remember the direction I was taking with it. But here you are, that pretty much explains our days. We rounded out the summer by getting Henry ready for Preschool and Nonnie ready to move up here with us!
Ia m working on the Halloween and Disney (Yes, Disney!) Posts. For now, check out our birdhouse and some of Henry's quips that are getting so fun!
" Look at the door Mommy, it's a Q!" "And, it's very small so a shark will never fit in there."
Visits from Natalie-Jane
Not sure what Henry's doing in these pictures. Something to do with a rope and an egg basket and more than likely a super hero.

I did say random stuff, right?
Not sure what Henry's doing in these pictures. Something to do with a rope and an egg basket and more than likely a super hero.
M, "No, but bears do!"
H, "But I'm not a bear so why do I have to eat this?"
I think he was referring to my baked ziti..a little overcooked
H, "Mommy are you drinking milk?"
M, "No, Henry, I'm having wine."
H, "But Mommy, that will make you tinkle in your bed!"
Random comments from the back of the car
H, "When I grow up, will I be a family?"
M, "You might have a family, you'll always be part of a family"
H, "No, I mean will I just be me, or do I have to deal with other people?"
(true sign of a happy only child!)
Random Discoveries
Mommy, "Henry, what are you going to bring for show and tell?"
H, "Mommy, bees don't wear underwear."
H, "I don't want to go to Venice because the pigeons might poop on me"
Overheard
Daddy, "Henry do you need to tinkle?"
H, "No Daddy, I'm just doing ballet!"
Mommy, "Henry, what are you going to bring for show and tell?"
H, "Nothing, I'm not going to show, I'm just going to tell!"
Random Perspective
One night when I had a lot of "homework", Henry wanted me to do just one more puzzle before bedtime. I had to explain that I had to get a lot of work done since I had some reports due tomorrow. Henry's response (with hand on hip), "Yeah. well I have show-and-tell!"
Henry tells us what he dreams about first thing in the morning. Here are a few,
H, "Last night I had a dream about a giraffe with a very very long back. All of the chickens were able to fit on the giraffe's back and ride around."
"Last night I had a dream about a shark who could not write the letter, H. He got so mad that he bit a penguin in the butt." (I think he just likes to have an excuse to say, "butt" without being told off).
A bedtime story.
"Once there was a little boy named Daddy. He went to the park and played with a scooter.
The End. That was a short one."
