Halloween

Last night was PIP at my school. PIP stands for Partners in Print. It's where parents come into the school and we share different strategies for them to use while reading with their children. I decided to bring Henry along as he's pretty good with people and other children and I figured I would be reading different books and he loves that. I was presenting a segment on "wait time". Did you know that if you open the cabinet to the AED (Automated External Defibrillator), a piercing alarm goes off? Well we know now and all I have to say is why would they install that thing at a child's height? So that's all I have to say about that.
Onward! Halloween! What a fun day! We participated in the Sleepy Hollow Neighborhood Parade. Everything that you would think it would be in a small town; strolling through the streets with tons of kids in costume with trees and colorful leaves all around lead by the high school band. We ended up in a cul de sac to have cider and donuts. We did this last year too so feel free to look at that blog to see how much our little "puppy" has grown. Oh and this year he wore a costume! The kids in the drum section were dressed up as smurfs!

I think Henry would rather be pushing a firetruck than a big ole' wagon!
Home for nap. (For Daddy or Henry?)
I love the little tail sticking out! After no nap-we started out around 4:30 for trick-or-treating. The older kids in the neighborhood wanted to take Henry before they went off and did their teen-age stuff. There's also a new neighbor with a 3 year-old, Nick (he's Batman).

Love this picture

After the older kids showed Henry and Nick the ropes(they pretty much caught on immediately),they decided to go off on their own.
There's Margaret!
George decided to come to the door too!

Next door!
Hi Walter!
Then, they disappear. Only sightly alarming-we know Walter, he's perfectly harmless however he does have an old McCain/Palin sign out front where he cut out McCain's name (bizarre).
What a great day! Then we went to Nick's Dad's house for a fantastic meal then home to bed so that Billy and I could raid Henry's candy (JUST KIDDING)!
