Milestones

Okay. Rhode Island Trip!
Packed and ready to go! The reason we went to Rhode Island was to see my nephew STAR in is first high school play!

He played Michael Feldman (the bad guy!) in Back To The 80s.

Since no flash photography was permitted the pictures didn't turn out so well.

Christopher is in the back row holding the football.

Singing and dancing to Footloose
There is my baby nephew taking a bow!

The play was fantastic and Christopher was an amazing actor/singer/dancer. He surprised all of us as he really excels in sports. primarily baseball. I really am so proud of him for trying something different and probably pretty scary.
I am so happy that I went to see Chris in this play. He really was amazing and has grown up to be quite a remarkable young man-who also happens to be Henry's Godfather.
Every time Henry reaches a milestone; which seems to be every other day lately, I am so joyful and at the same time, my heart is a bit sad as I try to remember every moment and cherish it. When I saw Christopher in this play and see how he is growing up to be such a great kid, it makes me look forward to , instead of dread, Henry's high school experience. I hope for him that he takes advantage of everything the way that Christopher does

Speaking of remarkable kiddos, here is Emily and her friend Evan with Henry. You can tell the two that are related-similarities are uncanny!
Since we were visiting the Ocean State, what better activity than to pop over to Boston and check out the aquarium.
Hello Stingray!Hello Starfish!
Hello Penguins!
Hello Hog fish!
Hello Shark!
And, best of all...Hello Emily!!!!!

Visiting the aquarium was just a guise. We actually really wanted to see Emily. If you remember from an earlier post, I mentioned my very very dear friend Emily whose son was diagnosed with leukemia. Paul received a bone marrow transplant in Boston. His brave little brother Ethan was the donor.
The family has temporarily relocated to Boston and are currently celebrating day 70 of post transplant.
We were blessed to be able to spend some time with Emily.
Back at the Pogue Household, Henry and cousin/actor, Chris ham it up for the camera!Henry loves his Christopher!

Cuddling with Nonnie!
Goofing with Nonnie, ha ha!

After we arrived home and shoveled out the driveway (see previous post), what to do with all the extra snow?Build a sledding slope, of course! Thank you daddy!

It was actually quite tall!
It even had stairs to make climbing easy.

Here we go!
All this sledding calls for refreshments!

I think Henry preferred to be on the ground...

Throwing snowballs! Yes, in his THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE RAINCOAT!!
Thank you Nonnie!Oh and, Happy Valentine's Day!
Thought you would find this humorous. Guess who bought which card... haha
In closing, Henry had his 2 year check up last week. He is 35.25 " tall, weighs 29# 8oz and when Dr. Crock asked if Henry is talking in 3-word sentences I said, "yes". Four word sentences? I said that I had to think about that. Not 30 seconds later, Henry, still in only his diaper, grabbed my hand and said, "C'mon mommy, let's go now."
Well I guess he passed that milestone...
boo hoo!
