Billy put Henry to sleep for his afternoon nap today. Shortly after Billy came downstairs, we heard the soft thud. Then the pad...pad...pad of tiny feet. We jumped up and by the time we got to the bottom of the stairs, Henry poked his head out of his room with a new diaper in his hand saying, "Diaper, new diaper, stinky". Sure enough, we can smell it before we get to him. At that point I excused myself as it seemed that Billy had it all under control.
So I don't know whether to be terrified, sad or proud! I do know that we will be hitting the after Christmas sales for a toddler bed and no, it will not be in the shape of a car!
The rest of the day was spent looking at the snow fall (which continues to fall and fall and fall) I think we are up to 20 inches right now.
I spent the first part of the morning chasing a cardinal to get a good picture:

Oh well, I finally settled on theses cardinals:

We tried to stay in our PJs all day but were invited to a party around the block. Feeling adventurous and not having to drive, we went!
Wouldn't be a house party without the ever-present dog, or three. This week's flavor:
The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.
Very cute and good with Henry.
Henry decided to eat some of the decorations. Yeah, this probably would have been funny or even cute if there were any other kids under 10 at the party, or if the hosts had any children...ever.
We left shortly after.
Last week I hosted the holiday party for my school. I didn't really get any pictures of the teachers, but we decided to attempt a group shot with Beech Tree's finest off-spring!
I think as long as Henry could sit next to Sophia aka "baby Phia", he wasn't moving!
