Thursday night my friend, Chris, and her boyfriend came into town from FLA. No pics here as it was purely an adult play date. We enjoyed Bistrot Du Coin as Henry stayed home with Marie.
Saturday was the Fun Fair at my school. Henry had a blast shaking his tush along with Elias and Heela. He also had his first "Moon Bounce" experience. Jury's still out on that one.

Here they are playing Dance, Dance whatever. I think I said, "Dance, Dance Nation" (Is it Dance, Dance Revolution?). So glad Henry's not old enough to be embarrassed my me. I think he gets his dancing skills from daddy! Go, Henry, go!
After the Fun Fair, I guess I felt like I needed to have my child collapse from sheer exhaustion, so I took him to a group Birthday Party. Such a trooper! The moms in my mom's group are getting savvy and having group birthday parties. Of course we didn't have our act together in January to think of it then.
Anyway, he actually likes to wear the birthday party hat. That's my son! Hope he feels the same about bunny ears! More on that later.
Happy Birthday, Ben, Kyle and August!
Sunday morning we bundled up to go to church. By the time we arrived, the sky was cloudy and grey and Henry was fast asleep in the back. Since Billy was doing a reading, I opted to stay in the car with Henry while he snoozed. We have learned from our previous mistake. Never wake up a sleeping child and expect him to
- go back to sleep
- be in a good mood
- not shriek and run (unless it is where he is supposed to shriek and run, in which case he will scowl and cower)
Yeah, never again!
He woke up an hour and a half later in a great mood and the sun was shining. Bliss! We took the opportunity and went to the park...
...to play on the slide,
"WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!"
Here's Henry on the slide. I am filming and silently (or not so silently) freaking out about Henry falling back and hitting his head on the slide. I know, I need to chill. From the video it really doesn't look like that big of a deal, but I am telling you, the slide was very high and he was going extremely fast. Really. I guess you just had to be there.
COUNTDOWN TO HAIRCUT...3 DAYS!
