...deep breath...
He's been pretty drowsy and clingy today but otherwise still has his sweet smile and it melts my heart even more to hear him say "mamaaaaa", "mamaaaaa" and cling to me with his hot little body.
So, onto the events that led up to our quest to build up Henry's immunity.
Saturday we went to the "soft-play date". So much fun. It was like a padded cell with, you guessed it, tons of SOFT TOYS! There was also the dreaded ball pit. For those of you without children, this is also known in mommy circles as "the petri dish" aka GERM CENTRAL.
Pretty cool though. Here are some pictures:
I took this picture for Nonnie's sake. We want the fish for Christmas!
Do you remember in HS Chemistry or Biology, the bacteria or germs are represented as big colorful balls? Hmmm, there might be something to that!
I have to admit, it was very cool and the kids had a blast!
Sunday morning Henry and I woke up early and I decided to give a gift to my sweet ailing husband (back issues) and take Henry to church solo. When we arrived, Henry was in an exceptionally frisky mood, which happens around 8:30. This is not generally a problem with two of us but I was really in no mood to switch my prayers from, "...thank you God for everything..." to "Please God do something with this child that I can't pretend I don't know". So we bypassed the church for a semi-civilized breakfast. The staff was adoring Henry so he was perfectly content to chomp on his croissant and coo back. We then made our way back to the car and since the early service was over I thought I would let Henry use the church as his personal playground-so he ran around and enjoyed listening to the choir practice. As we were leaving, the day-care staff was arriving as was Henry's "church-girlfriend". They said that they were taking the children for a walk along the canal and would I like for them to take Henry? Would I?!! They didn't have to ask me twice. I gave them Henry, the stroller, a bag of Goldfish and the camera (in case they did anything cute-as if). Then Georgia's mommy and I took off for Starbucks! YES-we did make it to church.
So here are the shots from the canal walk.
Yep, I'm okay with this picture. I'm sure he's not crawling under the fence about to tumble into the canal.
After church we went home and Henry graced us with a good 2 hour nap! Perfect because we were then up and off to Alessa's birthday party at My Gym. My Gym is, you guessed it, an indoor soft play area with, wait for it.....
A BALL PIT!!
It was worth it to see daddy crawling around again. Back healed! Must have been all the praying I did in church!
Here's the birthday girl in all her glory!
Doin' the bubble-dance!
Here's the birthday girl in all her glory!
So cute!
Doin' the bubble-dance!
And, just in case we didn't catch anything on Saturday...the full dunk!
Or as Georgia's mommy puts it-"...trying to catch hepatitis"
We left the birthday party and raced over to Peggy's (mom-group) for Kim and Grant's going away party. Did I mention that Henry got to eat a yummy pink cupcake at the birthday party? He didn't have much else so on the way to Peggy's I was passing back Teddy Grahams. Are you keeping track of this poor child's diet today? Bad mommy!
Great time at the party. Once we cleaned up Henry's throw-up off of Billy's shirt, the dads got to meet then they whisked the kiddies away so that the moms could all go out for some good food, conversation, goodbye to Kim and, oh, a pomegranate margarita..or two...
