We close on the 25th of September.
This is weird to think that we will no longer be living here. What a different place it was when we first moved in. No baby gates, no Cheerios stuck to the bottom of our feet, I could walk to the mailbox without even thinking of cars zooming by at the speed of light, I never used to have to hide the mail key and distract anyone while I took it out and slipped it into my pocket. Now all I have to say is, "Henry, let's go get the mail." and he starts immediately with, "key...key...key...my key...my key...my key" Trying to retrieve it from him if he does catch sight of it is like denying him air to breathe! Always a fun sight for the neighbors to watch.
In an effort to spend more time with our son and relive our parent-guilt over abandoning him for the past few weeks, we're keeping him home for this last week of summer break before I go back to work (agony).
We met our friend, Jackie at the pool:
Met up with Kelly and sweet Ellie at the spray park.
Henry was completely taken with Ellie. Trying to get Henry to the car was a snap. "Ellie, run to the car and Henry will follow." Worked like a charm!
Sunday, we went to a very cool park about 20 minutes away to ride the train. Big hit!
After the train ride we walked along the trails. Can you believe this place is only 20 minutes away from the city?
I have absolutely no idea why the text above is underlined. Can't fix it for the life of me...
On that note...goodnight!
