Ocean City, Haircut, Pool's Open!

Spent Memorial Day in Ocean City, MD. It's really fun, mostly because we are only there for one night. It's such a cheesy place and we really get a kick out of it. Growing up in Florida, I spent a lot of time at the beach. Until I was a teenager and became way too cool to go with the family, we went every weekend. Instead of driving to the beach that was less than 2 miles from our house, my dad would drive about 10 miles north to an isolated stretch of beach. He couldn't stand anyone else around. Anyway, whenever I go some place like this, I just have to laugh and think my dad is just cringing. So, here it is; Ocean City Maryland, in all its glory:

Wouldn't be a trip to the shore without a stop at Thrasher's to buy french fries and feed to the seagulls!

This is a tradition Billy shared with me. Of course when I went to the beach as a child there wasn't a human soul around much less a french fry stand!

Not only a french fry stand, but a freakin' amusement park!! It totally cracks me up!

We stayed in the same hotel as last year. This time Henry and I joined daddy for the evening sing-a-long downstairs (yes, there's a blog entry from last year-check it out!). So, we hung in the lobby and sang with the "more mature" crowd. Henry had a blast. He loves music and entertained everyone.

Such a pretty night.

Here we are on our little stretch of isolated beach! Actually I think that everyone else ( in their right mind) is still asleep!

Yes we did get old fashioned pictures taken!!! So much fun and if I learn to work the scanner and Billy doesn't have too much of a fit, I'll put them on! Here's Henry impressing Pocahontas with his musical skills.

A playground at the beach? Who knew?

I think he was asleep before I finished buckling him into his car seat!

Back home and onto mundane things like

getting our hair cut...

He likes this part!

Walk along the river to stretch our legs...and get the pieces of hair blown off before we get into the car!

Newest toy!

For mommy and daddy...or Henry??

Pool's open!

I rode Henry to the pool and daddy got to ride him back (all uphill).

Daddy's a good sport!

Then, zzzzzzz
