I have to start with this photo of Henry and Georgia playing, mostly because I uploaded it last and it is a P in the A to try to rearrange photos. Anyway, what brought me into the room was Georgia saying, "No Henry, it's not a light saber, it's a wand!" Priceless. And the weekend went on from there.
But first...
And we celebrated my Birthday...
but the highlight was Henry's favorite City Girl coming out for a sleepover!
Here they are going for a spin in the, "wilderness", as Henry puts it.
Navigating the pirate ship

Georgia collecting eggs! Yes, there are some golf balls in there.
Breakfast!
...and sittin' by the bonfire!
But first...We celebrated Valentine's Day (I found Nonnie's card in bed with Henry one day)
Went to see The Snowy Day. Here's Henry getting his program autographed by Peter.

not that I'm matchmaking or anything...
Ready for church!
Just so you know, Henry is still a goofball!
So some of the best overheard conversations came from this sleepover. My personal favorite started the blog, but then, while running from one room to the next (light sabers/wands in hands), Henry says, We need to get to the Empire!" to which Georgia responds, "Yes, let's see the empress!"
Henry's new favorite-Amelia Bedelia!
Georgia's new favorite? Star Wars Villains!
You can thank me anytime, Stacy!

Georgia said (on more than one occasion), "Henry, slow down!" Can you see it? 20 years from now, 40 years from now? Not that I'm sayin'...
Here are some other notable quotes from my little big boy:
"Mommy, today's Warthog Day!" said Feb. 2nd-and yes, he saw his shadow
"My leg pits hurt" His new name for the space behind the knee. Genius, I mean what is that space called?
Called out from bed, "Mommy, my butt keeps sneezing!" This actually struck fear n my heart as it came off a few days of marathon throw-up evenings.
So, despite my lack of blogs, our little guy keeps growing and amazing us everyday. It's not the easiest time for us right now with Billy starting a new job (things are looking up), so he continues to be our joyful spot. My heart still skips a beat when I look at him. That said, he does have his moments where my heart literally skips a beat but for another reason altogether. Our little guy does have that stubborn streak-I wonder where he gets that? Oh yes, fun. I think we're doing an okay job of letting him know that we love him but keeping him in line. It's not easy. Hopefully it will pay off.
We shall see.
Until next time...
