True to form, I took approximately 300 pictures while on vacation. So that I ensure your return visits to Henry's Blog, I will share them with you in small doses. This is Part 1 of our trip to Florida.
I was very excited that Billy would be flying with us to help out with Henry. I wasn't overly worried as he has flown many times and does great. He did pretty well but he certainly was a lot more wriggly than previous flights.
We arrived in FLA and were dropped off at Nonnie's house by my friend Rebecca. As many of you know, my mom has not one, but THREE Labradors. In past visits this has proven to be a constant source of entertainment for Henry. He LOVES, LOVES, LOVES these dogs! However, as many of you have also learned, Henry has since been diagnosed with an allergy to dogs. Because of Nonnie's devotion to her youngest grandchild, she made the decision to have the dogs visit a friend for the 15 days that we would be there. She also had her house scoured.
As the dogs hadn't left for their "vacation", we ran through Nonnie's house and went straight to the pool. We spent about 15 minutes in the pool then I took Henry in to my mom's room. Did I mention that my mom has Labs? Labs/pool/dog hair in pool not to mention air...I have never seen welts appear so quickly! Long story short, this is us (with my cousin, Dana and her son Alexander, in the Super 8 Motel looking for a place to stay for 15 days.
While calling resorts and hotels on the beach, a very (now a very very) good friend let us know that we could stay at her (dog-free) condo for the 15 days and she would stay with my mom. Not only that, a neighbor loaned my mom a car during that time so that Billy and I could have her car. Now THAT'S Southern hospitality!
Here's Henry at the Super 8 Pool, and why swim diapers are a necessity. We hadn't rescued our luggage from Nonnies house yet (no swim diapers)
Met Nonnie at her favorite haunt.
This is the backyard of our home away from home. Not bad. We got to practice, "duck, duck, duck".

Looks like you all had a fantastic time! I'm sure Nonny was super excited to see Henry for 15 days!
Thanks for calling on the day of Brady's birthday party. I told him I talked to Henry's mom on the phone and then he wanted to talk on the phone. Clearly, he thought I spoke directly to Henry!
Glad you are back safe and sound!
